Problems like this are in general not ours. Our server is usually quite
snappy, and we have a fast connection to the Internet. Parts of the Internet
itself are often badly congested.
We don't have any official mirror sites, in the sense that they have been
set up with our knowledge and cooperation, so therefore anything you obtain
elsewhere is strictly "take it as you find it". In our experience, most
people who get Kermit software from other sites wind up with incomplete or
outdated versions, or worse.
If anybody wants to talk to us about setting up mirror sites on the West
Coast, or in Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan, etc etc, send me e-mail. The
primary considerations are that (a) they be kept complete and up to date,
and (b) CDROMs are not made from them without our permission.
